This is a sort of counselling “blog” to give you a flavour of how I work. You can find more information about me by clicking one of the links above

People often come to counselling because they are stuck. They may have tried to deal with a particular issue – may have tried many times – but end up hitting the same brick wall every time – as a couple you maybe just argue round and round in circles, as an indiviual you may seem to go back to the same old behaviours again and again.
As a counsellor, what I will try to do is to help you approach the subject in a different way. Sometimes that brick wall can be broken down, slowly, a brick at a time. Sometimes it’s about looking at things in a different way, so that what looked like a brick wall can seem instead to be a paper screen. Sometimes it’s a matter of finding a new approach, so that rather than banging into that wall all the time, you find a way to walk around it instead.
